Malaysia XI To Warm Up For Manchester United Against Zimbabwe

Manchester United's arrival to Malaysian shores draws nearer and nearer and I can barely contain myself!

I'm actually really proud of the fact that our national team will have the opportunity to face the most devastating teams in the world in front of a jam-packed arena at Bukit Jalil this 18th of July 2009.

I would kill (well not literally. Actually.... :P) for a chance to play against the Red Devils. Who knows what the players are going through and the sort of preparation that is in call ahead of such a monumental occaision for the Malaysian Tigers.

One thing we do know is that the national squad will be facing Zimbabwe in two test matches today at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium and on the 14th 0f July 2009 at Stadium Shah Alam.

K. Rajagopal, the national team head coach noted that the Tigers were initially scheduled to play Syria instead of Zimbabwe. Not too sure why it was changed though.

In terms of "familiar" faces on the national squad, only four will be present namely ndra Putra Mahayuddin, Amri Yahyah, Norhafiz Zamani Misbah and V. Thirumurugan.

As far as team selection is concerned, Rajagopal noted that no one is guaranteed a place and he will use the two matches against Zimbabwe to choose his starting 11.

Good luck Malaysia!

Barcelona and Cesc Fabregas!

The Arsenal Faction Leader wouldn't be too happy about this. :p

Despite constant denial and pledges of allegiance to the Gunners, Cesc Fabregas is still rumoured to be en route to Camp Nou! :)

And it seems that Arsenal does seem to be open to the sale of the Spanish wizard. As always, anything is possible at the right price. In this case, the "right price" stands at €46 million.

We are however looking at ways around to work this and possibly get a lower price for Cesc. How? By a player plus fee deal. Not just one, but some reports have gone far as saying that two players will be offered to possible reduce Arsenal's asking price.

The two are former English players namely Alexander Hleb and Eidur Gudjohnsen.

We looked to Ribery as a signing but Bayern are being full-time pricks by being unrealistic in the fee demanded for the French winger.

I REALLY hope we bag Fabregas. We're going to need a star signing of our own following Madrid's outrageous recent shopping spree!
