Malaysia XI and Manchester United Training Session
Malaysia XI start training at 4.30pm and Manchester United start at 5.30pm. (subject to change)
I'm a Red Devil but lets make it a point to get there early to support our local boys!
Congratulations again to our Twitter competition winner, Veen1828.
Astro Sokker Stadium
Astro will be unveiling the Stadium Astro Sokker Safari to the public at Bukit Jalil (next to Bukit Jalil National Stadium) on July 18 (SATURDAY 10AM-10PM).
The Stadium Astro Sokker Safari is inspired by South Africa, the 2010 FIFA World Cup host, with the exterior of Stadium Astro Sokker Safari embellished with African motifs.
We will be presented with a combination of a 4×40 foot truck that transforms into Stadium Astro, an area that features a futsal field and a retractable sitting terrace where the public can watch pulsating invitational 3 on 3 futsal matches amongst 24 teams as spectators would in an actual stadium.
If that's not enough, Dr. Freestyler's gonna be there yo! I'm excited to see him do his thing. Futsal players should come to, he'll probably pull off some sick ground moves as well.
Made in Malaysia artistes will also be on hand to support the event. Besides a whole host of Akademi Fantasia graduates, Dj Fuzz, Pop Shuvit and Zahid will aslo be there, among others.
Special mention to my boy on Twitter, the lyrical genius, Altimet, who is also scheduled to be there as well. :D
Looking forward to hanging out with you guys before the match there.
Manchester United Finally in Malaysia!
OMG.
The best crop of football players in the world are actually here in Malaysia. I'm still in disbelief.
There's gonna be a Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 media conference at the KLCC outdoor park from 1pm onwards today and right after will be the Finals of the NIKE5 Challenge event happening.
Futsal fans rejoice as I expect to see a slew joga bonito sh*t going down on the courts.
See you all there! Read more...
Arshavin, Adebayor and Arsene
Blardy Emmanuel Adebayor looks set to leave us this summer to join Manchester City for a reported fee of £25 million after passing a medical with the Citizens and also being granted a work permit a couple days ago. They are still in discussions to finalize terms but the fact remains that a deal is still yet to be concluded.
Our potential talisman, Andrei Arshavin however couldn't be further away from jamming on the alarm button.
"He is an excellent striker. Everybody knows him. He can score from nothing. But it's his decision. If he wants to stay or he wants to leave."A very calm response from Arshavin if I may add.
Adebayor's departure will most certainly affect Arsenal's attacking prowess (although we have Van Persie!) but when quizzed about this predicament, Arshavin again provided a cool response,
"I think it's not my question. We have Arsene. He knows everything. He knows that if we need someone Arsenal will buy."Spot on, boy. Spot on. Read more...

Dear veen1828, please check your Direct Message on Twitter! :D
Special mentions:
Weelau@FindFutsaLMsia Why? Because it still has all the mainstay of players. One or two players won't win the championship for the team.
zique@FindFutsaLMsia Man Utd have a team that's at their peak. Great team work. Who else is fit to sit on the throne of EPL other than Man Utd?
Theurbanshogun@FindFutsaLMsia They've an english core to the team who have the experience to train up the younger members of the squad faster than arsene
mayzhee@FindFutsaLMsia Because when Owen comes I'm going to ask him to be my boyfriend and he'll be very happy in time for EPL :D

aimanE2I@FindFutsaLMsia Because they Manchester~ly stands United!! How's that?? haha Obviously i'm not exactly a football watching person~ =P
philipkhor@FindFutsaLMsia We win because "the competition" is restructuring. United ONLY needs to tweak and optimise!
chapree@FindFutsaLMsia Because it's United, you silly! BUWAHAHAHAHAH >:)
vicjamm@FindFutsaLMsia cause MU are meant to be champions. they have quality, not quantity.
cheem@FindFutsaLMsia Man Utd will win the 09/10 season because they hv a young team that has great passion for playing the beautiful game!

afeeqnadzrin8@FindFutsaLMsia Manchester United will definitely win and i'll "wazza-ing" them until we prove those "giggsy" that they were wrong.
afeeqnadzrin8@FindFutsaLMsia Man Utd showed us the beauty of football during the 08/09 season. Look at the mentality each player had. Vidic,Ferdinand etc
afeeqnadzrin8@FindFutsaLMsia Man Utd will win their 4th Premier League in the 09/10 season because of the passion these players have.
afeeqnadzrin8@FindFutsaLMsia People assume that just because Ronaldo left, they'll lose the title but honestly, they won't.
weiLeecheok@findfutsalmsia I do not know why but i know the players are HAWT! =)
Izzuddin1990@FindFutsaLMsia because the red devils burn rhe ground they step on none can stand a chance haha
vicjamm@FindFutsaLMsia cause I believe Ronaldo don't make any difference and we have won it with him.
zique@FindFutsaLMsia Man Utd, Premier League Champions 2009/2010. What a nice ring to it. No other team in the modern era deserve the title.
Let's all enjoy the Manchester United vs Malaysia XI match on Saturday at Bukit Jalil!
Do us proud Malaysia!
Meet Mancheser United's new number 7. Woot. More here and here.
David Villa Not Likely To Join Barcelona
Aww man, looks like we won't be seeing David Villa become a Catalan this summer.
Joan Laporta insists that we won't be breaking the bank with a €43 million price tag on the prolific forward from Valencia.
I understand that we're still looking to sign a forward, a striker and a defender but so far, nothing yet.
Diego Forlan is considered an option but I don't think that will happen either.
Nonetheless, we'll still kick Madrid's sorry butt and win the La Liga anyway.

Malaysia XI To Warm Up For Manchester United Against Zimbabwe
Manchester United's arrival to Malaysian shores draws nearer and nearer and I can barely contain myself!
I'm actually really proud of the fact that our national team will have the opportunity to face the most devastating teams in the world in front of a jam-packed arena at Bukit Jalil this 18th of July 2009.
I would kill (well not literally. Actually.... :P) for a chance to play against the Red Devils. Who knows what the players are going through and the sort of preparation that is in call ahead of such a monumental occaision for the Malaysian Tigers.
One thing we do know is that the national squad will be facing Zimbabwe in two test matches today at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium and on the 14th 0f July 2009 at Stadium Shah Alam.
K. Rajagopal, the national team head coach noted that the Tigers were initially scheduled to play Syria instead of Zimbabwe. Not too sure why it was changed though.
In terms of "familiar" faces on the national squad, only four will be present namely ndra Putra Mahayuddin, Amri Yahyah, Norhafiz Zamani Misbah and V. Thirumurugan.
As far as team selection is concerned, Rajagopal noted that no one is guaranteed a place and he will use the two matches against Zimbabwe to choose his starting 11.
Good luck Malaysia!
Barcelona and Cesc Fabregas!
The Arsenal Faction Leader wouldn't be too happy about this. :p
Despite constant denial and pledges of allegiance to the Gunners, Cesc Fabregas is still rumoured to be en route to Camp Nou! :)
And it seems that Arsenal does seem to be open to the sale of the Spanish wizard. As always, anything is possible at the right price. In this case, the "right price" stands at €46 million.
We are however looking at ways around to work this and possibly get a lower price for Cesc. How? By a player plus fee deal. Not just one, but some reports have gone far as saying that two players will be offered to possible reduce Arsenal's asking price.
The two are former English players namely Alexander Hleb and Eidur Gudjohnsen.
We looked to Ribery as a signing but Bayern are being full-time pricks by being unrealistic in the fee demanded for the French winger.
I REALLY hope we bag Fabregas. We're going to need a star signing of our own following Madrid's outrageous recent shopping spree!

Van Persie's Contract Extended
Sweet!
Robin van Persie very recently penned a new long term contract with Arsenal, reported to be worth around £80,000 a week over five years.
Van Persie was quoted saying in relation to our direction for the coming season, "There is ambition. I have spoken to both the boss and (chief executive) Ivan (Gazidis) about it," he continues, "I trust him and my message to everyone is: be patient, trust the team and the people above."
There's a good feeling surrounding the Arsenal camp and I think RVP's contract extension is fantastic seeing that Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs have all extended their obligations to the Gunners over the summer as well.
Wenger doesn't seem to concerned in getting more players at the moment and I am slightly concerned. So far the only addition to the squad is Thomas Vermaelen, the Belgium defender. I hope there's more to come though.

Not that a disclaimer is needed since most of us possess common sense but just in case, here goes.
The news above is totally fictional and made up for fun. Or as they put in movies, "Cerita dongeng ini rekaan semata-mata dan tidak berkenaan dengan yang hidup ataupun yang mati."
Nike Total 90 Ascente: Video
I mentioned some of the key features in the previous posting about the Ascente but here's a quick run-down again on why most goalkeeper will hate Nike in the up-coming 2009/2010 season.
The Technology Behind the Nike Total 90 Ascente football
SEEK CONTROL
PRECISION SIGHT
Tested and evolved to new depth, the performance graphic is designed to catch your periphery and engage your central vision quickly, even from across the pitch.
360 SWEET SPOT
Energy transfers evenly through the panels from the point of contact for a consistent touch no matter where its hit. Engineered to be the game's perfect sphere, the Total 90 Ascente responds with confidence and power.
Meet The Red Devils in Malaysia
It's exciting times ahead in Malaysia as we look forward to the arrival of the greatest football team on the planet, Manchester United.
I'm glad I got my tickets early during the pre-sale because they are running out fast!
Training passes, grandstand seats, what more can I want right? Well, right now I wish I was younger, ideally between the ages of 15-18 years. :P because then I would qualify for the upcoming Nike 5 Challenge, a 5 on 5 street-style football competition.
Winners will meet Manchester United players, take home autographed Manchester United gear, RM5,000 worth of Nike gear and grandstand tickets for the Manchester United versus Malaysia XI game on 18th July!
It's all going down starting the 16th of July 2009 till the 17th of July 2009 at KLCC outdoor car park (opposite PNB Darby Park).
Details at NikeFootball.
It's not everyday you stand a chance to meet the best footballers in the world.
All the best.

Falcao and A Rainbow
Falcao scored this goal, one of the 12 in the 12 – 0 win against Romania in the semifinals of the 2009 Grand Prix de Futsal.
The Grand Prix de Futsal, also known as Futsal Mini-World Cup, is an international futsal competition of the same kind of the FIFA Futsal World Championship but with invited nations and held annually in Brazil. It was first held in 2005.
Brazil went on to meet the Iranian national futsal team in the Finals on 5th July 09 (last Sunday) and expectedly clinched the trophy with a 7 – 1 scoreline.
I would love to see a Malaysian pull that one off (I'm sure you would, too). Please let us know if you know any individual or team that you think we should feature here and our Youtube page.
Joga bonito.

Nike Total 90 Ascente
The English Premier League, the Italian Serie A and the La Liga will all have the Nike Total 90 Ascente football as the official league ball.
Each league will feature the Nike Total 90 Ascente football but in different colour schemes.
The most intriguing aspect of the Nike Total 90 Ascente football? Apart from the Seek Control and Precison Sight traits, the Nike Total 90 Ascente football also incorporates the 360 sweet spot feature, allowing energy transfers evenly through the panels from the point of contact for a consistent touch no matter where its hit.
I hope to see a futsal version soon!
Nike Mercurial Vapor V Black/ Voltage Yellow
Nike has released yet anohter eye-catcher, the Nike Mercurial Vapor V Black/Voltage Yellow.
Yellow and black just works and the sheen on the boots makes it a beautiful addition to the already extensive Nike Vapor 5 collection.
I can't seem to choose which is nicer, these or the the Platinum/ Hot Red colourway (which oddly, I can't seem to see a futsal version of).
Fret not, these babies come in futsal/turf versions! (Although as peculiar as it may seem, I also can't seem to find the indoor court version for the Steam V and conversely, no turf version for the Veloci V. Weird.)

Robinho: You've Got To Have The Sway
I love this video.
Futsal is as different as it is similar to football. I watch a lot of football but I don't think I can have as much fun playing football than with playing futsal.
I love this game.
Robinho and Falcao.
You've got to have the sway.
